Thank you for showing an interest to volunteer your time, skills, and efforts to be an active member of a PMIWDC chapter committee. We welcome your participation.
Besides enjoying great networking opportunities, chapter volunteers are also honored through our Volunteer Recognition Program each year. It's also a good way to earn PDUs if you are PMP certified and an active volunteer.
How to Volunteer
All volunteers are required
to complete the Profile Form and agree to
abide by the Volunteer Guidelines; SEE
BELOW.
Let us know if you have any
questions or comments.
Step #1 - Read and
Understand the Volunteer Guidelines
PMIWDC has 12 guidelines
that all volunteers must agree to and follow. Please review and
understand the Volunteer
Guidelines before filling out the profile form.
Step #2 - Register a
Volunteer Profile
PMIWDC uses the service
Volunteer Impact to match volunteers to open positions based on their
skills, interests, and availability. The final step to applying to
become a volunteer is filling out a Profile
Form in Volunteer Impact.
Please visit the Profile
Form follow the instructions provided. You will be asked to
create a username and password for the volunteer system. Please choose
information that will be easy to remember, since you will need to log
back in later once you have been matched to a committee.
Step #3 - Wait for a match
After you fill out the Profile
Form, the Volunteer Coordination team will match your skills
and interests to an open committee position.
We will contact you once you
have been matched. This usually takes less than one week, but may
sometimes require us to contact you for followup. We appreciate your
patience while we take the time to make a good match.
How to Claim PDUs
When you volunteer, you do
earn PDUs, but you must claim your own PDUs through PMI. We have a
handy link to this section of the PMI site within our Professional
Development section. Thank you for your interest! We look
forward to working with you.
