The PMI Washington, DC Chapter is pleased to announce that Mr. Will Cantrell is the winner of the PMIWDC 2008 Academic Scholarship. Mr. Cantrell has held numerous project management positions and currently is employed with the Convergys Corporation, Reston, Virginia as project manager. He is currently seeking a Master of Science Degree in Project Management from the George Washington University. Mr. Cantrell is a PMI member, holds the PMP certification and also holds the Gartner Certified Associate in IT Project Management and Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet (MCP+I). Mr. Cantrell is also actively involved in several of the PMIWDC Chapter's volunteer committees.
The PWIWDC Academic Scholarship was created to promote and further academic and professional development education in project management. It provides the recipient a total of $2000 for pursuing a for-credit education in project management at one of the following institutions: University of Maryland, University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, The George Washington University, American University, or George Mason University. The scholarship is administered through PMI's Educational Foundation.
