About the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors for the Washington DC chapter of PMI is composed of volunteers who are elected every 2 years for a 2 year term. Other than the presidency, which requires a 4 year commitment on the board prior to running, all positions are open every 2 years. Many questions about the chapter and its operations can be answered in the following public documents:

  • The Chapter Bylaws - The bylaws summarize the leadership structure, operations, elections, and other fundamentals of how the chapter is organized.

  • The Chapter History (PDF) - Describes the founding, development and growth of the chapter since its founding in 1978

  • PMI Region 5 Website- Information on PMI Chapter activities throughout region 5, which includes Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and our nation's capital, Washington DC.

  • The PMIWDC Executive Leadership Page- Contact information for the PMIWDC Executive Leadership for 2007-2008. The board meets quarterly and conducts monthly teleconferences, though Board members maintain their duties throughout the year.
