About the Chapter to Chapter Program

The PMIWDC Chapter-To-Chapter program is focused on establishing and maintaining a series of relationships between our Chapter and other chapters outside of the United States. These relationships are built to be mutually beneficial and typically include exchanging speakers, exchanging members and sharing information.

We seek value from this program by fostering the development of relationships that advance the project management profession and by engaging and energizing our Chapter membership.

C2C Trip Report – 2007 Brazil - Linda Hammon, PMP

About the Visit

Linda Hammon, PMPMy trip to Brazil as an international speaker from PMIWDC took place from December 11 – 17, 2007.

Brazil has 13 PMI chapters located throughout the country with over 5000 members and growing.  My trip included visits to three PMI chapters, Sao Paolo, Brasilia, and Rio de Janiero.  According to the World Bank News Review, December 2007, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil has pledged massive infrastructure spending to build highways, railroads, ports and housing projects, in a bid to help ensure the economy maintains its brisk expansion.  This spells tremendous opportunities for Project and Program Managers in a country that has experienced explosive growth in the number of PMPs, and whose mission is to promote PM best practices, elevate the PM maturity level of professionals and organizations, and stimulate the discussion of project management within the society.

C2C Trip Report – 2007 India - Chris Fristad, PMP

Leadership Trip: PMIWDC to Team India
A.Chris Fristad, March 2007

As a chapter and component of PMI our two primary missions are to provide service to our members and to promote the profession of PMI.  The Chapter to Chapter Program is one of the many ways that your Board is meeting these goals.  As a part of this program, Team India requested that we, as one of the more mature and successful chapters of PMI, send someone over to share with their chapter boards how we were managing the chapter.   One of the requirements was that the individual sent be a present or former board member and preferably a chapter president.  Well, I got elected.
